Thank you so much for such an amazing day! The organisation was fantastic, nothing was missed and your marshalls were just amazing. Every single one went above and beyond, I’ve never been so looked after on a marathon.
Well worth the 3 hour drive from Stoke on Trent, I’ll certainly be back next year and I’ll be bringing friends! 🐇

This was my first time doing the #hampshirehoppit … I was quite concerned with the weather being so hot & no shade. But I carried on hitting those hills & finished the marathon. I wanted to say what amazing organisation you had for the race conditions… marshals was all concerning & helpful & the water/food stations were spot on!!!!! Loads of water & food available… plus extra volunteers with extra water & hoses!!! Amazing event planning! 👍🏼

My first marathon! And wow, what a way to start! I loved the first hill as I’m a bit of a hill running nutter. The whole route was lovely, beautiful rolling hills and fiddly country tracks. Excellent organisation and brilliant work by all the marshalls and helpers in “testing” conditions – that is, super sunny and very hot weather that we’re not really used to 🔥 Took me 45 minutes longer to finish than my original estimate, but I think that’s allowed this time 😉

Thanks for a great event yesterday, excellent organisation from start to finish, love the route and the marshals were brilliant, especially at making sure there was plenty of water etc available! Good advice at Hannington of drinking some Coke which I hadn’t done before, it picked me up and got me through the last few miles 😀👍 If you could turn the oven down next year that would be great 😂 Thanks again 👌

My first trail race and it is by far the best organised race I’ve been in. Tough, challenging, beautiful and great support.
The organisation and the marshals were exceptional. Would definitely recommend and will be signing up next year

Fabulous race – and if anything was better this year even though scorching hot. The organisation is brilliant and they really made an effort with the heat yesterday – even supplying ice lollies!!!! Plenty parking and toilets, generous goody bags, nice medals and beer at the end – what more could you ask for 🙂

I signed up to this race on the basis of reviews for the inaugural race in 2016. They were absolutely right, in particular in that this is indeed a race organised ‘by runners, for runners’. The little touches really made the difference, such as the impressive response to the predicted hot weather. The scenery along the ridgeway distracts nicely from the aching legs on this route, but expect to walk / march up White Hill to get there (unless you’re super-fit or don’t intend to finish). I loved the medal, canvas goody bag, and glass for finishers. And the beer to go in the glass was an added plus!

Ridiculously hot today but there’s been no end of updates and advice from the organisers in the run up to today’s race. Marshals and volunteers were second to none and it’s clear this is a race organised by runners for all runners. The route is a bit lumpy and I can’t imagine ever getting a PB here but I had a fantastic time out today. This was my first trail half, will not be my last. Goody bag contained Mars bar, crisps, biscuits lovely medal and a glass that got filled up with beer! Perfect.

Heat aside it's an amazing race. Has a hill at the start that puts Heartbreak to shame. This is half way up the bank! pic.twitter.com/sGSmsMUsYz
