We are very pleased to announce that The Hampshire Hoppit has renewed its partnership with TRIBE bars and merchandise. TRIBE have been our trusted nutrition supplier for many years, and we have locked-in with them again for our 2025 race. In addition to a nutrition bar in every Goody Bag and also at our Feed Stations, TRIBE has offered the Hampshire Hoppit a quantity of 150 of their beanie hats that retail at £20 each, further details of how to claim your beanie will be announced soon. Our 2025 tee shirt and vest announcement!We are delighted to announce our new tee shirt designs. With credit to the fantastic creativity of designer Dave Stanley, the Tee and Vest graphics for 2025 have an emphasis on celebrating our 10th year. Tees and Vests are available in most sizes, including a shaped fit for ladies, and they are manufactured from light technical material that is ideal for running. All profits from the purchase of a Hoppit Tee or Vest go to our charity partner, Hampshire and Isle Of Wight Air Ambulance. Last year, your generosity contributed £2000, and it would be amazing to do even better than that in 2025.The Tees or Vests can be pre-ordered when entering the Hoppit, at hampshiretrailmarathon.co.uk. Note that our 10k race in 2025 will start at 11:00am, instead of 11:30am (2024 start). The marathon remains at 09:00, and the half marathon remains at 10:30. We modelled other start time changes, including commencing the 10k between the marathon and half marathon, but the 11:00am start works best for 1) the least finish funnel congestion, and 2) it keeps the first 2km clear for each race distance (i.e. runners only running in the same direction). ... Lots of good things in the pipeline that will be announced soon for our 10th edition of The Hampshire Hoppit, and here's the first.....We think that you deserve a finishers medal that can be proudly shown to your friends and family, and this is especially important at our next race because we will be celebrating our 10th year, a significant milestone. The new design is based upon the medal that the Hoppit Race Director received at the end of his San Francisco Marathon in July 2024, that he absolutely loved and wanted to repeat for the next Hoppit. Like that medal, there are two sections linked by a top hinge. The front section is a front plate with runners passing through the Finish Arch, and the view of Watership Down can be seen behind (on the back plate). When the front plate is raised, it reveals the second section with the Watership Down vista in more detail on the back plate, including the race date and "10 Years" motif.
