Our race has been supported since our first race in 2016 by Basingstoke & Mid Hants Athletic Club. As we approach our 11th year their support has never been so vital. The fire that destroyed so much of our Hoppit equipment in the summer of 2025 was a major blow, but the impact has been mitigated by the commitment of Basingstoke & Mid Hants Athletic Club to do whatever it takes to get us back, while minimising any stress and hassle on us as the organisers. They are a fabulous local running club that encourages and nurtures all athletic abilities, at all ages whether 8 or 80 years old, or more!We couldn't be more thankful for their support. Medal announcement! The design has been finalised and the order has been placed with the manufacturer. For 2026, we have created a unique finishers medal that reflects our Loddon Brewery sponsorship in the shape of a pewter tankard. There is a head of beer that is a moving part - it slides down to reveal the date and FINISHER motif. Tee/Vest Design Announcement:We spend plenty of time thinking about our tee/vest design for the Hoppit. It needs to be creative, interesting, witty, and something that our runners will want to purchase, and not simply because all profits go to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, although that is reason enough! The back includes a map of the courses, and their elevation profiles.We hope you like it. Last year we sold 250, so let's see if we can get more shifted in 2026. The 2026 material will be lighter than the 140gsm that we used in 2025. The 120gsm technical tee/vest is a thinner fabric, and more breathable, which allows for better air circulation. It is softer and more comfortable in warm conditions. For anyone that has received a London Marathon finishers tee in recent years, it is the same material as that.You can purchase your Hoppit 2026 tee or vest from the merchandise screen that follows the registration screen when entering the Hoppit online. :) ...
